Strength to Face Challenges
Where do you find your strength? Is it by going to the gym? Is it by looking at others? Is it within? Or, is it through the Word of God.
We all know that life brings about many challenges and with those challenges, one may may question themselves as to whether or not they can make it or what do they need to do to make it. When these moments come, if too difficult, one may tend to want to throw in the towel or take caution to the wind and let the chips fall where they may.
However, the Bible tells us in Nehemiah 8:10 that the joy of the Lord is our strength. It is through our relationship with God and a constant determination to build on that relationship that joy will fill our hearts and strength will come. This means we move from knowing of God to knowing the intimate details of who He is. By doing so and being committed to hold on to the joy within our hearts, we carry out James 5:8 in that we become patient. And, through our patience, our hearts are strengthened.
So, you want to develop strength to face challenges, be willing to be patient in the midst of the trial and watch the Lord strengthen your heart and increase your joy.

Did you have a Chia Pet Faith?
When I was growing up, Chia Pets were the rage. They were small potted plants, meant for children and they grew very fast. The purpose of the Chia pet was to teach children how to take care of a plant from it seedling stage until it’s full growth. The problem with Chia pets is that they didn’t last long. As I grew older, I learned about potted plants that took more than one week to grow, as well as learning about seed time and harvest. The deeper the root of a plant, the taller it grew and the stronger it was. This fact was especially true of trees.
One thing about planting, as well known to farmers, is that it requires patience. For, there is a time to sow the seed and there is a time to reap the harvest. The key is ensuring that seed doesn’t die in the winter. In the Bible, James 5:7 teaches us to have patience until the Lord comes. For, it we do, like the farmer, we will reap a precious produce, regardless of early or late rains.
The Lord is returning soon. Until such time as He does, do you have the faith to wait patiently for your harvest, while helping to build His Kingdom, or do you have that Chia Pet (microwave) faith that receives a quick harvest but doesn’t have the fortitude or strength to ensure it lasts?
